CMTN is a recognized leader in Indigenous education. Indigenous peoples comprise roughly 30 percent of the region’s population, the highest among all BC college regions. At CMTN, Indigenous students make up nearly 40 per cent of the student body. This success is attributed to the college’s collaboration with surrounding First Nations communities.
